Residential roofing covers everything from a single storm-damaged section to a full tear-off and replacement: asphalt shingle installs and repairs, metal roofing (common on Tifton homes for its wind and heat resistance), flashing and vent boot fixes, ridge and soffit ventilation work, and the inspections insurance adjusters ask for after a hailstorm or high wind event. In and around Tifton, that also means dealing with Georgia's summer thunderstorms and the occasional tropical system moving up from the Gulf, so wind-rated shingles and proper underlayment matter more here than in milder climates.
We list 12 residential roofing contractors serving the Tifton area. Before hiring any of them, check that they carry active general liability and workers' comp coverage (ask for the certificate, not just a verbal assurance), that they pull permits when the job requires one, and that they'll put the scope, materials, and warranty terms in writing. Get at least two quotes for anything beyond a minor repair: prices can swing widely based on how a contractor sources materials and whether they subcontract the crew. Be wary of anyone who wants full payment up front or who shows up unprompted after a storm offering a "free inspection."
Our scoring weighs verified licensing and insurance, how consistently a contractor responds to and resolves customer complaints, the volume and pattern of reviews over time, and how long they've been operating in the Tifton market. 5 businesses, scored on recent reviews. The order weighs each business's overall score by how much of its reviewed work is residential roofing, so a lower-scored specialist can rank above a higher-scored generalist.
All 18 reviews reflect a consistent experience: Nick and his crew arrive on schedule, complete work efficiently, clean up thoroughly, and handle complications without cutting corners. Customers repeatedly mention reasonable pricing, strong communication, and quality results-several note that inspectors and family members were impressed enough to refer back for additional jobs.
Brandon Owens, Ray, Ken, and other named crew members earn consistent praise for professionalism, responsiveness, and straightforward work. Storm damage repairs, roof replacements, and leak inspections are handled with attention to detail and daily cleanup. Pricing is noted as fair and honest, especially after recent hurricanes when others inflated quotes.
All eight reviews rate Blanchett five stars. Customers consistently praise quick response times, on-time work, and thorough cleanup.
